PAIR

Partnership for Arts Integration Research (PAIR) is being funded by a four-year award from the U.S. Department of Education. The program will support arts integration work in six Magnet Cluster Initiative Chicago public schools.

Schools will work in two-school paired teams, with a Fine and Performing Arts Magnet Cluster (FPAMC) school paired with an academic Magnet Cluster school. The PAIR teams are:
  • Lee (Literature & Writing) + Eberhart (FPAMC);
  • Thorp (Math & Science) + Swift (FPAMC);
  • Ward (World Language) + Healy (FPAMC).
The goals of PAIR are to:
  • create cross-school partnerships;
  • create models of high-quality arts integrated curriculum;
  • improve teachers' instructional practices;
  • improve student achievement; and
  • disseminate effective arts integration practices to other schools.
As the project progresses, additional information will be included on this web page.
