EXPLORATIONS

CAPE works to explore and expand understandings of learning and teaching through the arts.
Some of these explorations are documented in this section of the web site. More nuts and bolts information on arts integration can be found in the Planning Forms and Resources section of our web site.


CAPE achieves its mission by "actively participating in professional dialogue with practitioners, researchers and leaders in the field."

CAPE is committed to exploring new roles and relationships among educators, artists, students, community members, policymakers and theoreticians. These evolving roles and relationships generate new thought and understanding of the inter-relationships between arts learning and meaningful school reform.

These innovations in thought and understanding are disseminated through Articles and Presentations, and call for the articulation of CAPE's theories of effective practice, posted as Position Statements on this website.

As CAPE's professional community continues to deepen and grow, an increasing range of pieces by CAPE partners, staff and colleagues will be added to this Think Pieces section of the CAPE web site.
