William Estrada received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a Special 10 k-12 Certification from the Sate of Illinois. He has worked with grass-root organizations for the past 7 years and continues to participate in various community projects in the Chicago land area.

Mr. Estrada has been a staff member of Yollocalli Youth Museum, a youth initiative of the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum, for the past 3 years, and also works as an artist in residence at Telpochcalli Elementary School though CAPE. Mr. Estrada has been a speaker/presenter in various discussions/panels regarding community programming, such as the Illinois Art Education Association Conference, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois Humanities Council, Smart Museum of Art, and the National Guild of Schools in the Arts.

Mr. Estrada's teaching philosophy stems from personal interest and constant discussion with people who deal with racism, displacement, media inequality, education, misrepresentation, historical passivity, and other issues affecting our communities.
