International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate –Teaching Arts Project (IB-TAP) is a collaboration with Chicago Public Schools’ International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. It is funded by the US Department of Education’s Arts Education Model Development and Dissemination Grant Program.

CAPE has formed a collaborative team with each schools’ IB coordinator, arts teacher and partner teaching artists.  These teams will plan and implement arts integrated curriculum – connecting to the globally-focused IB curriculum.

The IB program is completing its first year of arts integration, blending visual arts, drama, and dance into school curriculum.
