Introductory Partnerships (Design Seminar)

CAPE’s Design Seminar is an introductory program that allows CAPE to bring its methodology and philosophy of arts integration, artist/teacher collaboration, documentation and research strategies to new partnering schools, artists and arts organizations.

With experienced Veteran CAPE professionals acting as mentors, this project helps Chicago public school teachers, Chicago-area artists and local arts organizations learn to effectively collaborate and initiate new partnerships. Design Seminar programs utilize visual arts, drama, music and dance in a variety of classroom settings. The program is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Teachers practice what they'll be teaching their students at a Design Seminar Professional Development event.
