CAPE Veteran Partnerships

CAPE’s long-standing partnerships, some for as long as 19 years, are highly experienced in arts integration practice. Teaching artists and classroom teachers work closely to carefully integrate dance, music, theater and visual arts into classroom work. Hundreds of students have passed through these classes. Currently, 15 CPS schools qualify as veteran partnerships.

Teachers and artists periodically come together with CAPE throughout the school year to form a network of professional colleagues, providing mutual support and professional development in action research methods. CAPE teachers and artists propose inquiry questions regarding their work. Documentation of the work in the classroom is then focused on collecting evidence to answer these questions.
